Abstract

Aluminium alloys, particularly for internal-combustion engine pistons, contain 10-17 per cent of silicon, 4-8 per cent of nickel, and either 1-5 per cent of copper, or 0,5-2 per cent of magnesium. An aluminium alloy containing specified proportions of silicon, nickel, copper and magnesium is also referred to.
