[Class 83 (i)] [See also Group XXVII] (i)] [See A heat-transfer member 4 is united to an internal-combustion engine cylinder head by a bonding-washer 5 which is embedded in both the member 4 and the wall of the cylinder head during the casting process. The member 4, which is located above the cylinder bore and has a serrated rib 8 extending into the water jacket, is preferably made of copper, the washer being made of steel.
