Abstract

450,310. Pistons. NATIONAL GAS & OIL ENGINE CO., Ltd., and BALMFORD, A. B., Ashton-under-Lyne, and BURN, W. S., Laurel Lodge, Hart Station, Hartlepool. Nov. 13, 1934, No. 32656. [Class 122 (i)] A gudgeon-carrying member 3 is secured inside a piston shell in contact with shoulders 4, 5 between which a space 18 is provided to and from which oil is conducted via the gudgeon pin. The parts may be secured by a central bolt 10 whereby the shell can be removed without disturbing the gudgeon pin. A heat resisting steel cover plate 14 may be provided for the bolt head.
