Abstract
527,394. Cylinder liners. JUNKERS FLUGZEUG - UND - MOTORENWERKE AKT.- GES. April 11, 1939, No. 10962. Convention date, April 16, 1938. Addition to 437,012. [Class 7 (ii)] Thin liners 3, 4 having different diameters are forced against packings 8 on an intermediate part 5, forming the combustion chamber, by pressures only sufficient to maintain efficient seals as described in the parent Specification. As shown, a spring 7 acting on a flange 11 on the liner 3 produces these pressures, the part 5 sliding in the cylinder block. The part 5 may rest on its upper side against a flange on the block, further springs bearing on a flange on the liner 4. Alternatively, the part 5 may be integral with the block. Specification 482,099 also is referred to.
