383,866. Four-stroke engines. EDELSTEEN, A., 2, Skraenten, Sonderborg, Denmark. April 15, 1932, No. 10871. Convention date, Aug. 18, 1931. [Class 7 (ii).] In a twin-cylinder engine wherein the diameter and/or stroke of the leading piston c is less than that of the following piston, d, the latter has only working clearance at upper dead centre. Ignition is by the heat of compression. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 also describes an arrangement wherein there is clearance over both pistons, a sparking- plug being provided centrally between the admission and exhaust valves. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
