467,189. Two - stroke engines; cylinders. DELMAG DEUTSCHE ELEKTROMASCHINEN - UND MOTOREN - BAUAKT.-GES. Dec. 11, 1935, No. 34390. Convention date, Dec. 11, 1934. [Class 7 (ii)] In a Diesel engine in which the same piston-controlled ports c serve for both inlet and exhaust, the piston continues its stroke after uncovering the ports for a distance at least equal to the distance travelled before uncovering them. The ports c, which are all at the same level, may extend round the cylinder ; they may be tangential and directed towards the cylinder head; they may be arranged as shown so that the air - streams meet on one side of the cylinder axis.
