438,711. Two-stroke engines. MICKELSEN, V., and REBBECK, F. E., c/o Harland & Wolff, Ltd., Queen's Island, Belfast. July 12, 1935, No. 19921. [Classes 7 (ii) and 7 (vi)] In a double-acting twostroke engine cylinder having piston - controlled admission ports 8 and exhaust ports at the two ends, an ordinary poppet valve 20 is arranged obliquely at the piston-rod end. This valve and the other exhaust valve 11 are operated, either from the same cam 18 as shown, or by link-work from the crosshead 29.
