[Class 7 (ii)] In the cylinder of a double-acting two-stroke engine having uniflow scavenging, pistoncontrolled admission ports are each formed tangential to the cylinder in opposite directions at the two ends, and radial at an intermediate point. The two sides of each port are parallel to each other, being also at the inner or outer edges, or at their middle section, parallel to the cylinder axis.
