Abstract
307,100. Hemmingsen, T. V. Dec. 2, 1927. Cylinders receiving liquid fuel.-In a two-stroke engine having tangential scavenging- air ports 2 uncovered by the main piston 4, one or more fuel valves 40 may be designed to whirl the fuel in the same or opposite direction to the air, and may be arranged as shown or midway along the cylinder. In a doubleacting engine, the fuel valves are arranged on opposite sides of the central scavenging-ports 2, about midway between these ports and the exhaust ports 3.
