[Class 7 (ii)] A ring of piston-controlled, admission ports, in the cylinder of a two-stroke engine having uniflow scavenging, are formed so that their direction changes Abruptly from tangential to radial at the middle of their length. In a double-acting engine each port is radial in its middle portion and tangential in opposite directions at the two end portions.
