Pistons.-In an internal-combustion engine in which vapour, e.g. for cooling, acts on the lower side of the piston, leakage from one cylinder space to the other is prevented by an intercepting passage formed in the piston, the leakage being conducted away through the piston-rod. The leakage may be used for heating, or utilized in a low-pressure engine.
