[Class 7 (ii)] In engines having parallel cylinders with a common combustion space the clearance is reduced by forming bosses 26 on the pistons. Heat - resistant coverings 27 are carried by such bosses and may be thermally insulated therefrom. A piston pump 19 supplies combustion air.
