Abstract

368,759. Cylinders. HEMMINGSEN, T. V., 4, Ove Billes Tvaervej, Copenhagen. Dec. 9, 1930, No. 37083. [Class 7 (ii).] In a two-stroke cylinder a belt of scavenging ports 4 is fed by sickle-shaped chambers 6, 7 having sloping roofs 13, and curved bottom surfaces 11, which cause any deposited oil to flow into the cylinder. The water space, above and below the belt, is formed by integral parts of the liner so that leakage of cooling water to the chambers 6, 7 cannot occur. The bars between the ports 4 are rounded externally.
