Single-acting piston pumps.-In internal-combustion engines wherein the piston 7 works within a sleeve valve 8 attached to a pump piston 9, the sleeve slides between a depending head 14 and the cylinder, a chamber 15 of substantial volume being left at the top, which may be used as a pump chamber for oil. The gaskets 14<c> may be of different thickness to adjust the position of the head in the cylinder.
