Abstract

249,405. Schl³pmann, H. Sept. 7, 1925. Actuating pumps by fluid pressure motors.- - In a two-stroke-cycle internal-combustion engine the working piston b has a tubular extension d working in a bush e fixed in the head of the cylinder a. The extension and trunk piston are open to the crank chamber, the extension having ports g, which register in turn with air inlet ports l in the cylinder head and with delivery ports k in that part of the bush projecting into the cylinder. The top of the extension is closed by a screwed plate f, air trapped between this plate and the nut t on the up-stroke being used for secondary purposes apart from the engine cycle.
