Abstract
466,072. Gas burners. ELECTROLUX, Ltd. (Platen-Munters Refrigerating System Aktiebolag) June 19, 1936, No. 17114. [Class 75 (i)] In a gas burner, particularly for heating the generators of absorption type refrigerators, the primary air is drawn through an outer tube 41 into the mixing- chamber 27 so that any dust therein is removed by burning in the flame as the air reverses its direction of movement to enter the tube. The latter is secured by screws 42 to the upturned rim 43 of a hit- and-miss regulator 32, held against displacement by a lug 45 on the member 26 and provided with cut-out resilient arms 46 co-operating with a groove 47 for retaining it in an adjusted position. Gas is supplied through passages 11, 20 under control of a thermostatic valve 16 and screw regulators 22, 33 to the nipple 28, the head 34 of the regulator 33 being provided with inclined grooves to impart a swirling motion to the gas. The mixing-tube 38 is screwed into the member 26. The burner may be slidably and rotatably mounted on a rod 50, Fig. 4 (not shown), to project the flame into the flue 49 of a generator 48.
