Abstract

484,147. Mounting burners. DEAN, W. Jan. 10, 1938, No. 770. [Class 75 (i)] In a gas-burning heater such as a wash boiler, having a casing, pedestal, or base within which the burner C is arranged, the burner is mounted to turn about a generally vertical axis so that the gas connection of the burner can be brought at will into the most convenient position with respect to the existing point of supply. The' heater casing A is mounted on legs and the burner has a downwardly directed gas connection C<1> so that the nipple C<3> extends beneath the casing. The burner is mounted on a member B extending diagonally across the lower end of the casing and may be locked in adjusted position about the pivot D by means of a wing nut D<1>.
