Abstract
450,040. Heating water; casings. PARKINSON STOVE CO., Ltd., and ADAMS, R. K., Stechford, Birmingham. May 11, 1935, No. 13864. [Classes 64 (i) and 123 (ii)] A water heater is mounted on a wall by a casing a carrying the heater, burner and valves and having a detachable hook-on connection with a bracket g permanentlv secured to the wall, so that the casing may be lifted off after disconnecting water and gas pipes. The casing is cylindrical and is divided by an inclined plane into two parts a, b with meeting edges formed as co-operating flanges. A cowl f is screwed to arms m on the bracket g carrying studs n over which engage keyhole slots in the back of the casing. The bracket may form a skeleton frame. The upper part a of the casing is slotted and has spaced lugs q near the base resting on the wall. The lower part b is held in place by a screw engaging the burner. The upper part a, carrying a flue outlet d, may slide into a depending band on the cowl f, and be held by engagement of the slots in studs on a separate bracket on the wall.
