[Class 7 (i)] A heater for a hot-air engine comprises a casing b enclosing the engine cylinder a and connected to a blue-flame oil burner f, a side branch g near the lower end being connected to a flue pipe h to prevent overheating of the upper parts of the engine. The casing b may be replaced by an offset or swannecked tube, into the horizontal portion of which the engine cylinder extends.
