Abstract

805,903. Regulating air supply. SMITH & WELLSTOOD, Ltd. June 25, 1957 [July 13, 1956], No. 21692/56. Class 126. The flow of air through an inlet 4 of a solid fuel stove &c. is regulated by a damper having an aperture 10 closed by a bi-metallic strip 11 mounted on a screw 6 carried by a lever 1 secured at its upper end to a member 2 on the wall 3a of the stove. The damper is biased towards the inlet by a spring 7, its distance from the opening depending upon the position of a second bi-metallic strip 8 which coacts with a stop 9 on the lever.
