Abstract

418,170. Gas burners. SOC. ANON. DES TUBES DE VALENCIENNES ET DENAIN, Valenciennes, Nord, France. Feb. 24, 1934, No. 6133. Convention date, June 9, 1933. [Class 75 (i).] Gas and air regulators 1, 10 and a conical obturator 31 controlling the burner outlet are operated simultaneously by the movement of a single control member 17 in a helical slot 7 in the burner tube 3. The member 17 is connected to the gas regulator 1 and carries a sleeve 20. The air regulator 10 is provided with a helical slot 16 engaging a guide member 15 and is operated by a recess 14 engaging a tongue 13 on the sleeve 20. The obturator 31 is guided by inclined vanes 32, which impart a turbulent movement to the gaseous mixture, and is adjustably connected to a rod 33 connected to a pivoted lever 28 engaging a semicircular slot 27 in the sleeve 20.
