Abstract

854,842. Wick burners. DIETZ CO., R. E. June 12, 1959 [Dec. 2, 1958], No. 20232/59. Class 75(1). A burner for an oil lamp includes an inner wick tube 12, an outer wick tube 30 telescopically mounted on but not in thermal contact with the upper end of the inner wick tube 12 and a radiation plate 32 secured in heat conducting relation to the outer wick tube 30. A minute clearance exists between the outer and inner wick tubes. The radiation plate 32 is perforated and its outer edge engages a shoulder 34 of the burner body. A perforated flame plate 36 is secured to the upper end of the outer wick tube 30.
