A gas burner comprises a mixing chamber mounted on the end of a gas supply pipe 2 and enclosed in an air pipe 1. The mixing chamber is constructed internally by a baffle ring 5 and has air inlet holes 8, 13 in its wall and holes 14 in its base 7. The gas supply pipe 2 has slits or holes 4 which direct the gas parallel to the base 7.
