Abstract
1,038,893. Gas burners. SULZER BROS. Ltd. Feb. 20, 1964 [March 7, 1963], No. 7194/64. Heading F4T. A gas burner comprises a plurality of outer tubes 13 (Fig. not shown) supplied with gas and an inner tube 12 supplied with air concentrically disposed in each outer tube 13. The outer tubes 13 are secured to a plate 4 forming the end of a combustion chamber 3 and the inner tubes 12 are secured to a plate 5 disposed parallel to the plate 4. The tubes 12, 13 project from the plate 4 into the combustion chamber. The gas is supplied to the outer tubes 14 by a pipe 11, a distributer chamber 10, a tube 8 and the space between the plates 4, 5. Air is supplied to the inner tubes 12 through an annular space between the combustion chamber wall 2 and an outer casing 1. A tube 7 is disposed in the gas tube 8 and accommodates a pilot flame.
