812,454. Liquid fuel burners. HANSEN, L. S. Jan. 8, 1957 [Oct. 2, 1956], No. 29966/56. Class 75(1) A liquid fuel burner comprises a cylindrical burner pot 14 open at the top, a plurality of air inlet channels 12, 13 opening into the walls of the pot to direct air tangentially so as to produce a rotary air-flow, means for supplying air to the channels at greater than atmospheric pressure and a separate inlet 15 for fuel in the wall of the pot. Two channels 12, 13 arranged diametrically opposite one another may be used, the oil inlet pipe being adjacent to one of these. The fuel may be supplied by a gravity-feed system.
