[Class 51 (i)] In a device for supplying air to a boiler furnace above the fuel on.the, grate P, either or both sides of the upper furnace wall are perforated at intervals as at M, O, pipes leading from these openings to corresponding openings L, N below the grate. The shape of the openings may be varied and the outlets M, O &c. extend from a point behind the dead plate to above the firebridge.
