Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Aug. 26, 1935]. [Class 7 (iii)] Fuel is injected from an injector 1 into a pear-shaped combustion chamber 2 formed in the cylinder head or in the piston. The chamber communicates with the cylinder space through a row of holes, or an elongated slot 3, Fig. 2, or through ports 4, 5, Fig. 5, at opposite ends of the chamber. Two or more chambers may be arranged radially and fed by a single injector.
