Abstract

164,307. Worthington Pump & Machinery Corporation, (Assignees of Lucke, C. E.). June 4, 1920, [Convention date]. Cylinders receiving liquid fuel.-In apparatus in which the fuel is injected by the pressure produced by burning part of it in a small chamber D open to the cylinder, a small tube d or its equivalent is mounted in the chamber so that there is a passage around it, and the thickness of the supports is adjusted so that the right amount of heat is conducted through them. Each cylinder may have more than one chamber and the opening e between them may contain a plug with diverging passages.
