[Class 7 (iii)] An offset combustion chamber A is formed by two spherical portions of different radii and has a fuel injector B situated on its axis opposite a passage C leading to the engine cylinder. The passage C may be provided with spiral grooves to impart a swirling motion to the air entering the combustion chamber.
