Abstract

450,804. Driving-gear; crank-chambers; pumps. BERGGREN, R., S÷dra Akarp, Hvellinge, and NILSSON, M., Box 24, Lomma, both in Sweden. Dec. 2, 1935, No. 33313. [Class 7 (ii)] Pistons 5, 6 working in aligned cylinders 7, 8 are connected by a common piston rod 2, from which motion is transmitted to a pair of connecting rods 10, 11 and toothed wheels 12, 13, these wheels being geared together and driving a shaft 16 carrying a fly-wheel 20. The crankchamber 9 is oil-tight, and at its side are chambers 21, 22 acting as reservoirs for charge compressed behind the pistons.
