Valve-gear.-In an engine having four cylinders disposed in pairs as shown in Fig. 1, each opposite pair of pistons is secured to a rod D connected to the crank shaft by a rod F, the crank shaft passing through slots in the piston rods. Cam shafts I, I* are mounted in the interior of the crank casing and are driven from the crank shaft preferably by chain gearing J, J*.
