Abstract

448,177. Rotary pumps. LINDBERG, G. R., 1, Jõrnagatan, S÷dertõlje, Sweden. Oct. 30, 1934, No. 31113. [Class 110 (ii)] The pump comprises a doubleheaded piston 9,10, mounted by means of a block 13 on a pin 12 which is fixed to the casing, and a driving shaft 6 provided with an eccentric 7 which causes the piston tc gyrate within its cylinder 1. Fluid is pumped from an inlet 4 to an outlet 5. Tongues 15 have recesses 16 which co-operate with projections 14 on the piston, to provide seals between the ports 4, 5. In a modification, sheet steel is fixed at a slight distance from the casing in the neighbourhood of the tongues 15, and the projections 14 are dispensed with. Two or more impellers may be mounted upon the same driving shaft, separated by partitions in the pump casing.
