504,554. Revolving - cylinder pumps, compressors, and engines. ZIMMERMANN, H. J., and DUINER, J. A. Sept. 22, 1937, No. 25669. [Classes 8 (i) and 102 (i)] [Also in Group XXIX] A revolving-cylinder pump, compressor, or engine comprises a rotor 8 having bores containing stepped pistons 22 forming pumping chambers 7. The pistons are arranged so that alternately they face opposite directions so that the forces acting on the rotor are balanced. The ends of the pistons engage swash plates 4 which may be adjusted manually or by means of piston 16 exposed to delivery pressure and engaging a projection 18 and acting against a spring 19 which may be adjustable. The inlet and delivery ports 25, 26 are carried by the stationary member 24.
