471,097. Rotary pumps. LINDBERG, G. R. Feb. 11, 1937, No. 4100. Convention date, Feb. 11, 1936. [Class 110 (ii)] The pump comprises a double piston 9, 10, gyrating in cylinders 1, 2 to pump fluid from an inlet 7 to a delivery port 8. An eccentric 14 on a driving shaft 13 drives the pistons, and a guide shaft 20 has enlarged ends 17 which move in slots 18 in the casing walls. Hardened liners 30 may be provided. The pistons, or the casing bores, may be lined with an alloy or caoutchouc 12. Sealing edges 23 on the pistons co-operate with recesses 22 on the casing bores. Fluid may be trapped in the latter for cushioning purposes. The recesses may be in the pistons and the projections 23 on the casing walls. The cover 6 is clamped in position by a handwheel 26 on a threaded spindle 27 which passes through a yoke 29 having claw feet around screws 25.
