493,577. Revolving-cylinder pumps. BOSCH AKT.-GES., R. Aug. 10, 1937, No. 21960. Convention date, Aug. 10, 1936. [Class 102 (i)] A revolving-cylinder pump comprises a rotor 4 having a radial piston 6 engaging an eccentric freely rotatable ring 12 and a pin 13 also engaging the piston 6 and the ring 12 and passing through the cylinder head. The rotor 4 is pressed against the valve face 3 by a spring 7 and passages 5<1>, 14 connect the cylinder 5 and the space between the rotor 4 and the casing 1 alternately to suction and delivery. In Fig. 4, the rotor 4 has two pistons 6<1>, 6<11> both engaging the freely rotatable ring 12 and a rod 13 passing through the partition 4<1> engages both pistons. The delivery pressure is connected to the inside of the casing and a pressure relief valve 18 is provided. Alternatively the suction is connected to the inside of the casing and a increase in the delivery pressure raises the rotor 4 from the valve face 3.
