Abstract

463,854. Revolving - cylinder pumps. BOSCH AKT.-GES., R. Aug. 19, 1936, No. 22798. Convention date, Aug. 20,1935. [Class 102 (i)] [Also in Group XXVI] A pump, suitable for petrol, comprises a drum 2 driven by a shaft 6 and having radial bores 4 housing pistons 3, the ends of which are slotted to engage an eccentric ring 9. Ports 14, 15 connect the cylinder spaces to the suction and delivery pipes 7, 8 and the casing 1 is filled with lubricant under pressure which forces the drum 2 against the casing and seals the ports 14, 15. Fig. 3 shows two drums 2 driven by the shaft 6 and the cylinder bores 4 are arranged to open to the periphery of the drum. A spring 13 assists the lubricant pressure to force the drums against the casing 1. The shaft 6 is lubricated by the port 11. The pump may comprise one drum arranged as shown in Fig. 3. The lubricant in the casing lubricates the pistons 3.
