464,495. Revolving-cylinder pumps. PEGUET, G., and BARNA, N. July 10, 1935, Nos. 19755 and 19756. Void. Convention dates, Oct. 30, 1934 and Feb. 26, 1935. [Class 102 (i)] A cylinder body 41, Fig. 2, revolves on a fixed pin 3, carried by a cover of the casing, and having recesses 8, 19, which form the suction and discharge passages. The valve may be packed by means of flexible tubes 34. Where the liquid pumped is oil it may be circulated through passages in the valve for lubricating and cooling. The plungers 11 make contact with a ring 33, which is free to revolve in a non-rotatable ring 32. The latter is shown as transversely adjustable. In a modification, Fig. 6, the loose ring 33 engages the interior of the casing and the thrust of the plungers on the discharge stroke is balanced by means of fluid pressure admitted to a recess v. The balancing fluid may be the pump discharge or lubricant under pressure. The plungers are pressed outwards by centrifugal weights 103, or by springs r.
