[Class 110 (ii).] A rotary pump comprising a rotating piston a provided with arms which co-operate with apertures in a rotating abutment b is provided, in the side walls of the casing, with two relief ports m, n connecting the spaces between the piston arms and the abutment in which pressure is set up with the outlet side of the pump and two relief ports o, p connecting the spaces between the piston arms and the abutment in which a vacuum is created with the inlet side of the pump.
