[Class 110 (i)] In a liquid-ring pump in which the rotor 11 rotates about a cylindrical member 3 containing the inlet and outlet ports 12, 14, grooves 22, 24 are provided at the sides of all the ports and in advance of the outlet ports in the surface of the cylindrical member and sealing liquid under delivery pressure is conducted to them.
