611,648. Rotary pumps. LOOKE, H. H. May 2, 1946, No. 13417. Convention date, May 3, 1945. [Class 110 (ii)] A pump of the roller-vane type is provided with a groove 42 in each vane recess 40, whereby fluid under delivery pressure being forced out of ports 34, 35, gains access to the underside of a vane to force it outwards. Incoming fluid to the pumping chamber 20 passes from a port 28 to end ports 30, 31, and delivery fluid is forced through end ports 34, 35 to an outlet 32. The sealing face of the rotor 36 and the casing 20 extends over a large arc.
