Abstract

522,269. Centrifugal pumps. DRYSDALE & CO., Ltd., and DRYSDALE, J. W. W. Dec. 5, 1938, No. 35350. [Class 110 (i)] A centrifugal pump 2 is made self-priming and free from air lock by providing it with an auxiliary axial discharge 7 feeding the inlet of a positive rotary pump 9 on the upper part of the same shaft 1. The discharge 7 is provided with helical blades 8 forming part of the centrifugal blades 2. Main delivery of 2 is through a valve 61 to port 6.
