Abstract

Regulating.-Two coaxial impellers or groups of impellers of a centrifugal pump are arranged to act on the fluid in series or in multiple by means of a rotary valve v arranged within the casing of the pump and with its axis parallel to the axis of the pump. With the valve v set as shown in Fig. 4, the two suction inlets of the pump k, o are connected by the port u and the discharge outlets m, n by the port w. In the other position of the valve the discharge port m from the first impeller is connected by the port x to the suction o of the second impeller.
