452,019. Centrifugal fans and pumps. WATKINS & WATSON, Ltd., and DUCKER, F. E. M., 17, White Lion Street, Islington, London. Feb. 14, 1936, No. 4802. [Class 110 (i)] Straight or curved auxiliary blades f are provided on the back of a disc fan or pump b, which produce a centrifugal pressure not greater than that produced by the main blades and thus by preventing the building up of the delivery pressure at the back of the fan, reduce the resultant axial thrust and the shaft leakage. The auxiliary blades may be applied to the several stages of a multi-stage pump.
