[Class 110 (i)] A liquid ring pump according to the parent Specification and a centrifugal pump are mounted on a common shaft or coupled shafts. The rotor 3, 4 of the water ring pump is mounted between the centrifugal pump impellers 1, 2 which are connected either in series or parallel. The rotor 3, 4 and the impellers 1, 2 are housed in a split casing, one half of which is fixed and provided with the suction and discharge branches.
