Abstract
396,013. Rotary pumps. HALL, S. Z., 76, Victoria Street, London. May 8, 1933, No. 13346. [Class 110 (ii).] The pump has blades c which operate in pairs, each pair having four lugs e, extending axially, which may be fitted with shoes m, and rub on rotating rings k located in the casing walls. The edges n of the abutment l are sharp. A knife blade u may cooperate with the blades c which are arranged with cutting edges. The casing a opposite to the abutment l is first machined from a centre p for about 90‹ in a pump with two blades, and 60‹ for pumps with three blades. The surface is then re-machined so that blades c will be a close fit in all pumping positions. Specifications 302,555, [Class 110 (ii), Rotary engines &c.], and 341,337 are referred to.
