Abstract
427,825. Vapour burners. PERRY BARR METAL CO., Ltd., Wellhead Lane, Perry Barr, Birmingham, and ABRAM, W. H., 18, Leybourn Road, Kingsbury, London. Dec. 11, 1933, No. 34766. [Class 75 (i)] [See also Group XXVI] A gland for an axially movable pricker - rod 5 for clearing the nipple 2 at the outlet end of the vaporizing - tube 1 comprises asbestos packing bushes 20, 22 and an intermediate metal bush 21, the bore of which communicates through holes 26 and an annular peripheral recess 25 with one or more outlets 16 connected with the fuel reservoir so that any fuel leaking along the rod is returned to the reservoir. The rod consists of two parts screwed together at 11, the outer part being formed with a guide collar 15 and a screw 13 engaging a threaded part 14 of the sleeve 3 between the outlet 16 and the inlet 4 to the tube 1. The pricker wire 7 is secured in a holder 8 held by a screw cap 9 and a lock-nut 10 on the inner end of the rod. A flange 27 is provided for mounting an air buffer vessel.
