431,093. Beer engines; pipe joints. GASKELL & CHAMBERS, Ltd., and WEIGHTMAN, J. S., Dale End, Birmingham. April 18, 1934, No. 11705. [Classes 99 (i) and 102 (i)] Cellar piping for beer engines, of the type in which an L- shaped casing 13 pivots on a vertical branch 12 from the engine supply pipe 11 and has a horizontal branch supporting the down pipe 16 to the barrels, is characterized in that the casing 13 is supported from a collar 19 on the pipe 12, by means of the cap 18 of the stuffing box 17 of the vertical branch of the casing 13. Ball bearings 21 may be interposed between the cap 18 and the shoulder 19, and the latter may be screwed and soldered to the tube 12. Specification 399,235 is referred to.
