Abstract

Lubricant conveyed by fluid.-Lubricant is carried into the induction pipe of an internalcombustion engine by air drawn through a tube 6 depending into lubricant contained in a glass or other transparent vessel 2, the air issuing from the those 6 passing in bubbles through a. glass or other transparent tube 9 to apertures 15 in a central tube 3<a> connected to the induction pipe by a pipe 14 and provided with an adjustable valve 10. The tube 6 and a tube 7 similar thereto but closed at its upper end support an annular member 8, which supports the tube 9 against the top of the vessel 2, packing c, d being interspaced. The body 10<b> of the valve contains a spring-pressed ball 11 co-operating with indents f in a sleeve 5a extending from a nut 5 screwed on the tube 3<a>, which nut holds the parts of the vessel 2 together.
