Abstract
404,353. Cylinders. TENNANT, W. J., 111, Hatton Garden, London.-(Tranco Akt.- Ges.; Luxemburg.) July 15, 1932, No. 20032. [Class 7 (ii).] A non-return valve for drawing off compressed fluid from the cylinder comprises a unit consisting of a lift member 6, a valve seating 7, and a stop 8, all formed conically at opposite ends, as shown, and enclosed symmetrically in a ferrule 9 so that the parts cannot be assembled incorrectly, nor the unit disposed incorrectly in the valve box 3. The valve unit is disposed on an upstanding conical part 2a and secured above by the conical end of the draw-off pipe 11. The valve is connected to the engine at 1, and the casing is cooled by a water-jacket, water entering at 4 and leaving at 5.
