Abstract

201,350. French, A. W. June 19, 1922. Stuffing-box joints.-A spray nozzle is provided with a cap 13 containing packing 12, which is adapted to be screwed on to the outer member 5 over a split or divided loose washer 16 which is assembled from the forward end of the nozzle. Alternatively, the flange 17 on the inner member 1 is made removable to enable an undivided washer 16 to be placed in position from the forward end. An annular recess 15 is provided in the outer member 5 to receive the washer.
